Congratulations to Lyn Debor, former coach at West Allegheny.  Brenna Coraleen DeBor was born on Monday, March 17th, 2008 at 10:12AM.  She weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces, and was 19 1/4 inches long.  Both Lynn and Brenna are happy and healthy.

Ann Rodgers of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette quotes George Savarese in an article about a textbook that aims to teach the Bible with no religion (10/24/05):

“I don’t think people are adverse to having references to the Bible and including that in the curriculum, but they are wary about how exactly that would fit and the pressure that would come down on them if they were to teach it and a student complained.
